Sometimes you don't truly realize how far your book has traveled!

This is the story of my second novel JACK.

“When you put your ideas on paper, you never truly know how far they will travel!”

JACK was my second novel or novelette. it was released shortly after what I consider to be my first and my worst, Sins of the Father. I really don't know why I say that. I suppose I see all of the glaring holes that are as large as craters on the moon and my audience overlooks them. I do hope that is the case.

A couple of years after JACK was released, I was perusing the bookshelves of different bookstores around the world. Suddenly, in Melbourne, Australia the cover of JACK popped out at me. I was surprised (and more than a little honored) that one of my novels had miraculously made its way to the Outback and even mentioned it to an acquaintance of mine at Platypus, a body armor and military dealer for the Australian military and various police. I always publish in every country accepted by Amazon, so it was not completely a surprise.

But the real surprise came when I saw JACK had won the coveted London Literary Award, just a few months after it published. Again, I was very honored, and a little surprised the very country where Saucy Jack claimed his victims was interested in the thoughts of an American writer. Regardless, a winner is a winner. I'll take it!

if anyone else has had a similar experience, I would love to know your feelings and what went through your mind when you found it.
